"This Is My Joy"

Well, my "exit interview" is tomorrow. That's how you know reality hits. Being set apart as a missionary wasn't meant to be forever. It was only for a short period of my life. VERY SHORT time of my life but at the same time the best time of my life. My mission means everything to me and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I love that everything that happens on missions have God's hand in it. The companions you are with, the place you serve, the people you serve, the people you meet, and so forth. I'm sorry I'm just talking right now but I just can't even express my feelings towards my time here in Taiwan. Next week Monday will be my last email and though I want it to be the BEST email ever, it probably won't be anything special. I'll probably just try to put my feelings into words but will be very unsuccessful at even trying.

I don't even know what to say! Haha. But I hope these pictures say a lot. I love you all! I'll come up with more next week. ;)

My ponderize scripture this week is Alma 29:9.
I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.

陳輝木 got baptized! Sis. Guo and I knocked into him a few months ago. He doesn't look too happy here but trust me, he's happy. He was smiling the whole time. He was welcomed into the ward and he is willing to make this a part of his whole life. He also has 14 generations of family history on a scroll that he holds so dear to his heart. He jokingly said with us that he just wants to take that whole scroll to the temple. Haha. But we really need to help him do family history work so that he can actually do work for them!!!

Rice bun burger at Mos Burger. I guess I should send pictures of what I've been eating lately huh?

We accompanied Chen Wen Zhong to do baptisms for the dead on Thurday. And Sis. Guo and I were able to have dinner with him!!!

Companions once again!

I'm Really Going to Miss Stinky Tofu

So I'm really going to miss stinky tofu...

We went to the temple today! We also had interviews with President this week!

Chen Hui Mu passed his baptismal interview!!! He will be getting baptized this Saturday at 5pm. It was so funny because at church all he kept telling everyone was that he was getting baptized on Saturday at 5pm. It's been a long journey. We met him in July and at the time his father just passed away so he couldn't do anything until August. And since August, we've been visiting with him at his home, teaching him the gospel and watching him come unto Christ. He quit tea and smoking through the Lord's help. In his baptismal interview, he told Elder Boyce that he'd try to be baptized into Jehovah's Witness many times before but he couldn't because he couldn't give up smoking. But I know that it's because this is the Church of Christ that he was able to do it.

Our investigator, Zheng Yi Ting, was a referral through the phone system!!! She will be getting baptized on 10/31! Two lessons ago she said she didn't know that God was her loving Heavenly Father. But after this past week, she shared an experience she had with the Book of Mormon, which answered her prayer and her challenge with her co-workers. The Spirit was there and she just cried as she shared this scripture with us. Immediately after that, I asked her the first baptismal interview question whether or not she knew that God was her loving Heavenly Father. She said with a firm answer, "yes, I believe." It was amazing to see how the Lord answers prayers!!! She is committed to her date and we are too!

Love you all!!!

Sorry this is so short. I'm praying for my family in the Philippines!

Sister Sagisi

Feasting on the words of our Prophets

I am so FULL! I hope everyone had a feast on Conference Weekend because I did!!! It was such a huge blessing to be able to receive so much revelation on how I want to end my mission in Taiwan and how I want to begin my life as a returned missionary.

For anyone who is wondering, I leave Taiwan on November 7. That's really weird that I'm telling everyone. Haha. But yes, that's my date I depart from my dear Taiwan. But until then...here are some of the miracles I've seen!

Our investigator Chen Hui Mu quit smoking! We have been working so hard with him. He'll be getting his interview this Saturday. It was music to my ears when he said, "smoking 10, 5, or 1 sticks doesn't make a difference. I'm just going to quit smoking altogether!" It was amazing! The Atonement is REAL.

I don't know why but we've been getting a lot of food from people lately. At stores, the bosses would give us a free plate of food or something or our members would give us lots of food. I think they want me to go home so that my parents will have 'more to love' on me. Haha.

Next week is temple day! This means that I'll be emailing on Wednesday instead of Monday.

Love you all!!! Have a wonderful week! Remember to ponderize! I know that my mission has allowed me to be closer to the Spirit and to rely on the Lord in doing His work. I have needed to humble myself so much and learn many Christlike attributes. I know that as I continue to purify my heart, the Lord will help me be what He wants me to be. My baptism has meant everything to me and it's such a privilege to be able to help others come unto Christ. I invite you all to think about your baptism and what baptism means to you. We are all on that same path that started with baptism.

Today, my companion, dearest Sis. Wright drops the AC filter from the third floor. So we go in some hair cutting store's back door to get to this place. All the people were like, NO YOU CAN'T! It's so dirty back there. But Sis. Wright man's it up and retrieves it. Success.

Another shot of the place. Do you see the AC filter?

Yeah...we got McDonald's. Haha.

How we watched conference. The elders were 'outside' of the room. #missionrules

Last Transfer (#12)

Aloha Everyone!

This will be an email with a lot of pictures. And it may look like like I'm wearing the same clothes in all of the pictures. But don't worry, it's just because I took more pictures towards the end of the week.

Well, everyone I am in my last transfer, which means I have 5 weeks left in Taiwan. Actually, after this email, I only have 4 more emails to send home. Oh my goodness! I will be "dying" in Beitou. Wooh! My new companion is Sis. Wright! Love her! This is going to be so great!!! We have a lot of plans and it's just going to be so awesome!

Love you all! I am looking forward to General Conference this week. I have been waiting 6 months for it. :)

I know that the Lord has so much in store these last few weeks in Taiwan and I promised Him and everyone else that I will work hard until the very end. And that I will gladly do.

"Here am I..." -Isaiah 6:8

How many times can we say that? When the Lord calls us to do something, will we be able to say, "Here am I, send me"? Here am I in Taiwan, on His errand doing His work. Here am I to give it my all.

Love you all!!!
